Chinese-style barbecue pork marinated in a sweet and savoury glaze.

Ingredients

  • 700 g Pork tenderloin
  • 4 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Five spice
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
Cooking

Instructions

    Combine soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, garlic, five spice and sesame oil in a bowl to make the marinade.

    Place the pork into the marinade and coat thoroughly.

    Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for the best flavour.

    Preheat the oven to 190°C.

    Place the pork on a lined baking tray and reserve the leftover marinade.

    Roast for 35–45 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with extra marinade during cooking.

    Cook until the pork is caramelised and slightly sticky around the edges.

    Allow the pork to rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.

    Serve with rice or noodles.
