Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 120 g Cornflour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Lemon
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 150 ml Chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 750 ml Oil

Instructions

    Cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks.

    Dip the chicken pieces into beaten egg and coat thoroughly with cornflour.

    Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C.

    Fry the chicken in batches until crisp, golden and fully cooked through.

    In a saucepan, combine lemon juice, sugar, chicken stock and soy sauce.

    Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened and glossy.

    Toss the crispy chicken in the lemon sauce until evenly coated.

    Serve immediately with steamed rice.
